Corrects a problem with the next page feature "so you can see the next page of trouble ticket calls"

 

Also corrects a problem with the page that inserts the trouble ticket properties into the database.  In version 3.3.7 if Register_globals=off in the php.ini this part of the help desk would not work.. This should not be the case now.

Big Update Version 3.3.7

Version 3.3.7

This update makes it possible to have multiple administrators and multiple technicians.  The technicians now have their own control panel, which is slightly more limited then the administrators.  Trouble Tickets now have an optional field for phone number and extension.  An email rules wizard has been created to allow greater control over when email is sent by the help desk to an end user, technician or administrator.  In the property management component property now can be assigned a monetary value. The login system has been corrected so that the first time you install the help desk software you will not have to login twice.  The help desk search feature has been changed so you can now search from the description or resolution to a trouble ticket. Finally the entire help desk install system has been rewritten so that you can upgrade from previous versions and the MySQL structure will be changed, but no data will be lost.

 

Oh yea, and we corrected that annoying issue with the edit a past resolution page.

Version 3.3.6

Version 3.3.6 is not the big update we have been promising.  Its a quick fix for some minor problems, while we continue working on the big update this week.

Here is what it does:

 

This version updates the documentation, corrects an error on the help desk priorities page in control panel, and includes an index.html file to help make sure directory browsing is not allowed.

This version allows you to supress email notification, "one time", on a trouble ticket. So if you want to write something like, "the user was an idiot". Make sure you check this new button, as to not send the user a notice of their stupidity.

This version also rolls up all the updates we have done thus far. If you are going to upgrade, and have been waiting this version has been tested fairly well, this one is for you.

We have added the following features.

1. Uninstall Page

2. Enhanced Search now returns results similar to a search engine.

3. Ability to specify from email address for trouble ticket notification.

4. Ability to associate a trouble ticket with part stored in the property management system.

This update corrects a problem, which prevented the “View Only My Past Help Desk Calls” page from loading correctly.

Enables table name prefixing on the help desk software. This is really good for web hosts, or companies that want to use multiple copies of the software, but dont want to use differnt database names.

Also this update corrects a problem with the password change page.

It also allows you to search based on email address for trouble tickets.

Version 3.3.1 Help Desk
Version 3.3.1 This update allows for the Problem Categories to be Re-Assigned to different categories. It also enables the ability to delete problem categories, insert new priority and delete priority levels; re organizes how trouble tickets are displayed. Finally the update determines if there are more than 26 pages of calls, and if so it breaks the next page number list to a new line to reduce clutter.
