Version 3.4.7 had a few problems, 1) when you were not logged in creating a trouble ticket failed.

2) Nav system issues on viewDetails.php  These are corrected now.

We add time tracking and reporting.  Finally remove the cheesy images and get on with life!  We also corrected some bugs with table data issues.

We have been working for weeks to re-write the help desk software.  We have changed at least 90% of the code.  The goal was to make the system more stable, add a few new features and make it possible to more easily add new features.  We have moved to closer to the (OO Model). 

 

Do not try and upgrade to this version, only fresh installs.  We had to do some surgery on the database structure.  We will soon provide a data migration utility to upgrade from the old versions to this one. 

 

Give it a try, let us know what you think in the install problems, problems, and feature request areas of this form.  Please do not post in this thread.

Version 3.4.4.

Version 3.4.4 changes or corrects the following:

 

End users can specify priority of ticket (enable funtion in control panel settings page)

 

Admins can control file size and block file extensions for uploads (control panel)

 

Priority bug in trouble ticket fixed.

 

Bug in reportproblem.php (create new ticket) corrected.

 

Bug in seach system, Knowledge base fixed (links now return to trouble ticket, instead of 404)

 

Main pages, such as DataAccess.php now include a new next page system, and better code to access the database.

 

Multiple Bugs and code changes to upload system.

 

Install script updated.

Version 3.4.3 A & B (Beta 2)

 

Version B : when an end user is registerd, first name and last name will be pre-filled in the trouble ticket creation page.  We plan on expanding this feature in the following days.  This is a Beta 1 release.

Version 3.4.3

Version 3.4.3 adds support for end user registration.  If a user is registered and they report a new problem, the problem is associated with their user account and they can lookup their past calls and upload files associated with a trouble ticket.  Currently the GUI is abit crude, but this is a BETA release, we are working on finishing up a number of other updates that were speced out on this build.  This is a great time to try the version out and give us your feedback as to how it works.

 

Also we are moving to a more OO based code, this is the start.

Amazing.... Another small update.  This update adds the ability to delete a property item, from the property - mgt report page.  It also updates the images on the index and reportproblem page to give the help desk a bit more of a professional look..  yes.. we are working on it.  :)  Bigger updates to come.

Version 3.4.2.E

adds the “price” or value of a property item to the property management report.  It also eliminates the need to assign and first and last name to property.  Property is automatically assigned to the staff member who is logged onto the help desk.  Finally we changed some of the links in the property management system so you won’t end up back on the main help desk page when working on reporting inventory.

Adds input validation to the end users trouble ticket lookup page (when enabled found off from index.html) and a link so you dont get stuck in the lookup page.

 

Add a check box to viewDetails.php for closing a call without using the drop down menu (you will have to update hlpDeskupdate.php also if you want to upgrade without re-installing)

 

We also updated the help desk terms of service found in 1stReadMe.txt in the zip file you download with ever version.
